*Update* Hope's mobility is still limited but moves well enough to use her litter box. “Super affectionate”, “Purrs loud and often…”
A week ago, Hope was pulled from a gutter with a smashed, necrotic paw, compound fracture to her rear leg and a broken hip…an unexpected run-in with a car. The pus from her eyes and street grime aside, we saw something special in this little one, and when the vets said, “Really?”, we responded “Yes, really.” The vets amputated the front paw, repaired the compound fracture and sent her home with foster Ann Adams to beef up. A week later, Hope is still too small for a legit cone but big enough for the hip fix. Pro tip: a cupcake plate will suffice in a pinch. Hope.
